W Hotel
The French Quarter version is well located in a very old building that W has made feel quite contemporary. Small enough that you know you aren’t in a mega-convention hotel.

Chateau Sonesta – Only a few years old but built into an old building, huge rooms, I stayed here when it was just opened and enjoyed it very much.
